Is a forex trading mentor on Instagram legit?
Most are not. An Instagram forex mentor who shows cars and cash, promises to trade on your behalf or sells a course that "guarantees" profits is almost always selling the dream, not the trading. Anyone managing your money must be authorised by the FSCA; check before you pay.
The common versions: pay for a mentorship or signals group; deposit into an account the mentor "trades for you"; or join a copy-trading platform you cannot find anywhere official. The profit screenshots are edited or from a demo account.
How to check
- Search the FSCA register for the person or company and its list of public warnings.
- Reverse image search the lifestyle photos: many are borrowed.
- Search the name and handle with "scam".
- Never let anyone trade "on your behalf" with your deposit or your login.
- A guarantee of profit in trading is a lie by definition.
Frequently asked questions
- They showed me a withdrawal that worked. Does that prove it?
- No. Small early withdrawals are part of the trick to get a bigger deposit.
