1. What Veritaza does

Veritaza checks for warning signs based on what you send us: photos, mobile number, email ID, name or username, bits of messages, a photo of an ID card and the PAN. The result is a report with seven boxes, each green, yellow or red, with one sentence.

2. What Veritaza does not promise

No check can catch every scammer. A report without warning signs is a good sign, but it is not proof that the person can be trusted. A warning sign is not proof that the person is a scammer. We never say an ID card is genuine: we only look for signs of forgery. Searches for fraud cases and FIRs can turn up other people with the same name: always confirm with the link whether it is the same person.

3. Only for personal use

You confirm that the report is only for your personal use, to decide whether to trust a person you are in touch with. You may not publish the report, use it to shame, threaten or harass anyone, or use it to decide on hiring, a loan or a tenancy.

4. What we never show

The report never shows an address, where the person lives, a partner or family. We do not use face recognition. We never tell the person who was checked.

5. Aadhaar

Veritaza never asks for and never stores Aadhaar. Do not type an Aadhaar number anywhere on the site and do not upload an Aadhaar card. If one is sent to us by mistake, it is deleted with the rest of the order.

6. Fingerprints

For the photos and numbers you send, we keep a fingerprint: a code calculated from the photo or the number (SHA-256) that cannot be turned back into the photo or the number and carries no name. We also keep how many times the same code was checked and how many people answered that the person asked them for money. That is how check 5 can say "other people have already checked these photos". The fingerprints are deleted 2 years after the last check.

7. Payment

The report costs ₹289 and is paid with UPI through our payment partner dLocal. We do not accept cards.

8. How long the report is available

The link to the report works for 30 days. After that, the report and everything you sent us are deleted.

9. If you think you were flagged by mistake

If you think something about you is wrong, or you want us to delete the fingerprint of your photo or your number, write to us at ola@veritaza.com. We reply on working days and correct or delete whatever is wrong.
