The photos are not found anywhere on Google. Does that mean the profile is real?
No. A photo that is not found on Google may have been taken from a private account, cropped, flipped or lightly edited, or made with AI – none of which show up in a normal search. No result is a good sign, but it is not proof that the person is who they say.
Scammers know about reverse image search and have adapted: they use photos from small private accounts, from other countries, or generated faces. That is why one check is never enough. Veritaza says the same about its own report: no warning signs is a good sign, not proof.
What else to check
- Ask for a video call or a fresh photo with a gesture you choose.
- Check the mobile number: is it virtual, is it from another country, does it appear on fraud lists?
- Search the name and username together with "scam" and "fraud".
- Watch the behaviour: speed, excuses, secrecy and money talk matter more than any single photo.
Frequently asked questions
- Can Veritaza find photos that Google cannot?
- Sometimes, because check 5 shows whether other Veritaza users have already checked the same photos – even if the photos are nowhere on the open internet.
